Hunting Bag Essentials

Hunting Bag Essentials

It never fails that every time I get into the deer blind/stand I always seem to forget something. I have my “must have’s” and “things I like to have”.

First, make sure you have all your hunting gear

  • Weapon
  • Bullets/ arrows & broad heads/ whatever your weapon needs
  • Release (bow)
  • Binoculars
  • Rangefinder
  • Harness (tree stand)
  • License/ Permit
  • ID
  • Don’t forget orange if your state requires orange
  • Calls/ Grunts, etc.

Then, you have your items you should always keep in your bag

  • Compass
  • Knife
  • Rope
  • Flashlight
  • Water Canister
  • No Scent Spray
  • Lighter/ matches
  • Toilet paper (just in case)
  • First Aid
  • Duct Tape
  • Face Paint

And then, the extras I always like to pack

  • SNACKS, lots and lots of snacks
  • Gloves
  • Hand/feet warmers
  • Backup chargers
  • Beanie/hat

These are some of the items I think are important to keep in the backpack when going to sit in a stand. What are some of your must have items? Comment below.

I hope this has helped some of you get an idea of what to pack when going out into the field. Always pack for the unexpected!

Happy Hunting and as always God bless!
