Speaking at YWLS with Turning Point USA
Young Women's Leadership Summit
I had the honor of speaking at a Turning Point USA event in Dallas on June 15 & 16, 2018. For those of you that aren’t familiar with this organization it is an American conservative, right-wing non profit organization whose stated mission is "to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government”. It was founded on June 5, 2012, by conservative activist Charlie Kirk. I met Charlie at NRA in Dallas in May of this year. We had the opportunity to spend some time together and talk about his student movement. Needless to say, I was very intrigued. We were able to connect afterwards a few times via phone, email, and text. But when he invited me to speak at the YWLS 2018 (Young Women’s Leadership Summit) to tell my story and be on the 2nd Amendment panel, I jumped at the chance. I was among many extraordinary figures, just to name a few of them: Tomi Lahren, Dana Loesch, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Allie Stuckey, Candace Owens, and Kelly Anne Conway. I had to delay my trip to Newfoundland a day but it was worth every minute of the 24 hours. What an amazing group of young women in attendance. A girl I met at the Summit was even on my plane the next day going back home to Canada.
TPUSA has a presence on over 1000 college campuses across the Country. I highly recommend visiting the website tpusa.com just to see what it’s all about. There are over 5000 events held yearly, some small events locally across the USA, and some large conferences throughout the year. It is an amazing organization that unites young men and women across the country and gives them an opportunity to learn, participate, and be involved with like minded individuals to encourage and teach leadership.
I am going to post my speech below. I hope it inspires you and give you motivation. Leave a comment with you thoughts!
God Bless XOXO,
